Bike, walk, run, or skate along a 4.5-mile section of the paved path (9 miles round trip) along the beautiful Willamette River discovering our sun and its planets, even dwarf planet Pluto! Then, escape our solar system and visit our second-closest star, Proxima Centauri, and its exoplanet, Proxima b, located at Eugene Science Center.

Join Bethel, 4J and Springfield Safe Routes to School programs, the City of Eugene, the City of Springfield, and Shift Community Cycles for this fun event with pedal-powered smoothies, bike checks, information about bike share, and workshops for families and individuals of all ages on biking for transportation.
We’ll start with balancing and gliding without pedals or training wheels. Some will learn to pedal in one session, while others may need more practice to reach that final goal. You don’t need your own bike to participate, but please bring a helmet and bike if you have one. Bring your bike and your lock(s) and a ToolBox Project volunteer will discuss with you the best way to lock up. We'll have different kinds of example locks to look at. (We're not selling ANYthing! :D) We can tell you a little about the two big registries for bikes, Bike Index and Project 529. We'll have engravers, and can engrave your government-issued ID or phone number or whatever on your bike -- or on some other valuable item. Come on, come all! New cyclists, returning riders, everyday riders; all are welcome.

Join Erin* and Lucy at Shift Community Cycles for birds and bike-themed All-Levels Yoga class! This free, 1-hour class is open to all, including teens/youth and yoga beginners.
Celebrate Mother's Day with a grounding and accessible class centered on bird-themed poses (asanas) and balance practice to improve your cycling posture and quiet your mind. And stay for some tea and conversation after class, if you like!
Wear comfortable, fairly form-fitting clothes and be prepared to take off shoes and socks.
Bring a mat + 2 blocks if you have them; we'll have loaner gear to borrow as well!
*Erin Carol, PhD, eRYT-500, is a certified Yoga Instructor with 10+ years of experience teaching Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Gentle, and Nidra classes and workshops through her nonprofit, "Donation-Based Yoga with Erin."

Breakfast at the Bridges is designed for path users and commuters to grab a quick bite to eat and a cup of coffee, meet City staff, learn more about transportation in Eugene, and get a bicycle safety check all at the same time.
This signature summer event series celebrates the outdoors and encourages active transportation – especially walking and bicycling – to meet larger City goals, including healthy living, sustainability, and a vibrant business community. Breakfast at the Bridges features local advocacy organizations and businesses that actively work toward these City goals.

Presented by Better Eugene-Springfield Transportation (BEST), AARP Oregon, and LiveMove at the University of Oregon.

GRiT stands for Girls Riding Together. Join us for our GRiT Ride! This is a no-stress, beginner ride designed for middle and high school girls - and all are welcome! Female and female-identifying student-athletes and adults get first dibs, but the boys and men who support them are welcome to come support.
The Eugene Composite Team offers mountain biking for grades 6-12 with skills, trail rides, racing and community building. The team was established in 2018 and is organized under the Oregon Interscholastic Cycling League and the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA)
