A Bicycle (ride) Built for Twos!: 5/22

A celebration of humankind's second-noblest-invention: the tandem bicycle. With two current and one former local manufacturer of bicycles built for two, Eugene is rich with tandems! How many Twos can we put together?

Do you have a Schwinn Twinn, Burley Bofus, Bike Friday Two'sDay, Co-Motion, or any other bicycle built for two? Give it a safety check, saddle up your favorite stoker, and meet us for a fun ride and rally at 2nd Avenue and High Street (Campbell Park) on Sunday, May 22 at 2 pm.

We'll start off with a kid-friendly 2.2-mile ride, then stop for a group photo. Adults will continue for another 19.8 miles at a brisker pace, followed by refreshments and games (tandem trackstand contest, stoker swap, etc). If you don't have a tandem, but want to join the ride, consider bringing another bicycle built for two or more (eg cargo bike, tagalong, trailer, large basket with dog, etc).

Event Location: Campbell Park (200 High Street)

Hours: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Audience: Family-friendly for first 2.2 miles; 21+ for 22-mile option.
