Outdoor Program Gear Sale: Sell Your Bike!: 05/04
Check out the UO Outdoor Program's Annual Gear Sale - May 4th, 5:30-7pm. Pay $5 pre-registration ($10 day of event) to reserve a table or space to sell your gear, or just come by to see what's for sale! We will be selling some bikes, bike parts, and lots of other outdoor gear. Call the Outdoor Program to reserve your spot: 541-346-4371.

Climate Anxiety Bike Ride: 05/04
Join Lucy from the Outdoor Program and Riley from the Student Sustainability Center on a mostly flat sunset bike ride along the river path! This ride is 5 miles and beginners are welcome, as long as you know how to ride a bike. No bike? No problem! We will be renting bikes from PeaceHealth if you need one. This special ride is centered around discussing climate anxiety and climate activism. The best way to help the outdoors is to get outside! Questions? E-Bike Expo: DATE CHANGE to 05/20
Curious about electric bikes? We are too!
Spend a Friday night checking out a wide variety of e-bike models all in one place! Meet local makers and shop owners, try a ride or two, talk with people using their e-bikes for their commute or to haul their kids to school, practice accelerating safely, learn the rules of the road, and so much more!

Shift to E-Bikes Virtual Workshop: 05/11
Shift to E-Bikes covers all the basics. A virtual workshop, local e-bike experts will share: different types of e-bikes, the benefits of owning an e-bike, key considerations when shopping for an e-bike, safe riding practices, and the rules of the road when operating an e-bike (where can you ride, and at what speed).
Attendees will qualify for a discount ($50 off an e-bike that costs less than $2000, $150 off a bike that costs $2000 or more) at participating retailers.

Free Bikes 4 Kidz (FB4K) Giveaway Day: 05/14
Come and join us as we gift over 300 free bikes to kids in need in our community. Sign up to help greet families, fit helmets, help kids "shop" for just the right bike, quality control bikes (certified mechanics only please), check families in and direct them to additional fun to be had during the event.

Retro Ride Brew Tour 2022: 05/28
Social ride beginning at Shift Community Cycles for an open house. We will stop at a couple breweries for local brew samples and end up at Claim 52 for an after party. Prizes such as a brand new bicycle and other shwag items will be raffled off. All proceed go to Shifts 501c3, and Claim 52 will also donate a % of beer sales.

This event is in partnership with GEARs(Greater Eugene Area Riders) and BEST(Better Eugene-Springfield Transportation) in order to highlight the path improvements within the city as well as changes that the county has made making bicycling more enjoyable and safer.
