Gear up for May Is Bike Month! Established in 1956, National Bike Month has been celebrated around the country since 1956 and in Eugene and Springfield we’ve been doing an organized event since 2014.
It’s a is great opportunity to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and to encourage more folks to give biking a try. This year will be an extra special as we’ll be celebrating two years of PeaceHealth Rides with a free week of rides during the Business Commute Challenge!
Whether you bike to work or school; ride to save money or time; pump those pedals to preserve your health or the environment; or simply to explore your community, Bike Month is an opportunity to celebrate the unique power of the bicycle and the many reasons we ride.
Besides rides and events hosted by dozens of local businesses and organizations this is also a month for the community to organize their own rides and events. You can post your event to the Community Bike Calendar and we will promote through the May is Bike Month outreach that we do!
This month of events is made possible by all of our partners:
